Size:  11″ / 30 cm

Background: Large articulated figures made by Japanese company ‘Dune’. They produce many different figures in retro Kaiju (Japanese monster figures) style. I love them. I had to wait a while on the red one: I purchased directly from the manufacturer. He assured me, the figure you see here was the very first figure off the assembly-line. The figures come in three different variants: P1 Red, P2 Turbo white and Flesh colored.

Background: Small articulated figure made by Japanese company BanDai. It was part of their Battle Brushers series, and came packed with other SF characters. I only have Bison and it’s one of my favorites. It’s very detailed for its small size. The figures come in one variant: P1 Red.

Capcom v.s. SNK Manhua figures

Picture gallery:

Manufacturer: Capcom

Background: Small articulated figures made as a tie-in with Hong Kong comic.  This box set depicts the two final bosses in the game: Bison on Capcom’s side and Geese Howard on the SNK side. They were packaged with the books. I love how they look like children’s toys. The attacks listed on the back of the box either predicted names of attacks in later SF games, or are unique to the game Capcom v.s. SNK. The Bison figure has red eyes, don’t often see that. There is only one variant: P1 Red.

G.I Joe – Hall of Fame

Picture gallery:

Manufacturer: Hasbro Toy

Year: 1994

Size: 12″ / 30 cm

Background:  Large “Hall OF Fame” style figure produced during the craze of Street Fighter II and its live-action spin-off movie. The figure, along with its smaller G.I. Joe versions, is clearly meant for younger children. But it comes with some very underrated details. For instance the dog tags Bison wears around his neck state that his date of birth and country of origin are unknown.

I also love the little guidebook that came in the box. Besides a few gameplay tricks for Bison there’s also these very cute illustrations… Bison geared up with weapons is a rare sight.

Street Fighter – The Movie

Manufacturer: Hasbro Toy

Year: 1994

Size: 3 3/4″ / 6 cm

Background:  A toy series made as a tie-in with the Street Fighter Movie starring Jean-Claude van Damme and Raul Julia. It was very popular and so Hasbro made a toy series to go with it. There were several play sets made for this movie. I documented the ones containing action figures on this page. There is another one shown under the section for static figures. The figure has glow in the dark hands to simulate Psycho Power and came in 4 variants: P1 red with black cape, P1 red with red cape, Royal blue and black.
